Paranoid schizophrenia. what is a good med?

my boyfriend has severe paranoid schiz. he hears things and see things and has anger issues. what would be effective for this. he was on zyprexa but it did not work. he was now put on prolixin.anyone else have any success with any other meds for severe paranoid schiz?
