I forgot to mention this earlier to everyone who responded to this post.
One of the other things I studied up on was our bodies PH balance. STRESS can also cause our ph levels to be highly acidic. The way to test this is to find you some ph balance urine test strips. I usually find them on line under www.ph-ion.com. Read the pamphlet that comes with it and do some studying on it on-line.
Dr. Robert Young, who wrote several books on this (the PH miracle is one)goes into great detail about being to acidic can screw us up royally. It makes sense that our bodies are more prone to diseases (cancer, auto-immune disease such as fibromyalgia, MS, etc.) when levels are not balanced.
Although my diet is around 80% raw, I don't follow his to a tee. Alot of the foods he incorporates into his diet I don't like, but trying to follow it as closely as you can will help. (And you will lose weight as an added benefit)
My acidic levels were down to below 4.5 when I started, which is not good. So I stick to my diet and drink about a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda mixed with 6 ounces of water everyday (in the beginning, now I do it every other day). Sodium bicarbonate will help to raise your PH levels.
Your ph levels need to stay within a 6.75 to 7.25 range. It's funny, around 2 hours after I drink that mixture, my ph levels are within a normal range. But I can at least keep them normal for a couple of days in a row now verses them dropping dramatically everyday.
A good detox product to use, if you want, is called MAX GXL. You can get info about it on-line, but I order mine from e-bay. It's alot cheaper there. It has alot of good detox values along with other nutrients that help your body heal.
Just some info I thought I would throw out there.
It seems that between unbalanced hormones, medicines, stress, diet, adrenal fatigue and ph balances, we're just screwed huh? LOL!!!
Let me know if this helps anyone.
