My Dr. prescribed me Paxil 6 years ago for G.A.D. With a year and a half, I gained roughly 40lbs (I am 5' 0" tall). I was weened of the drug and the weight came right off. Recently, he prescribed me Lexapro for G.A.D. after a semi-traumatic event. It was never intended to be a permanent medication, as I take adivan for anxiety. I was started on 10mg in May of this year. A few months later, my dosage was increased to 20mg. It is now 8 months since I started taking Lexapro and I have gained 50 lbs; most of it within the last few months.
