Hi,
I recall taking phenergan a few times when I was growing up into a fine young junkie. As I recall it wasn't a particularly nice kind of sedation. I remember feeling quite relieved when I discovered the benzos.
Also, as you mentioned nausea - I used to vomit on long car trips when I was a kid. Likewise my kids did too so I got them a bag of crystalised ginger to munch on. They never barfed again..!
Maybe it would work for post surgery nausea - maybe not. Those anaesthetics are dynamite. The only time I vomited after surgery was because my stomach had filled with blood...!
Disgusting but true.. :)
