Yes! An antidepressant can make you more depressed after days or weeks, regardless of whether it once worked for you or not. There are suicide warnings for a reason. Few clinical studies have looked at this issue, but the couple I saw showed a range of 5% to 15% of patients do get worse on a drug.
I don't care what it is...a vitamin, a food, a mineral, an herb, an oil, a medicine, whatever...if it makes you feel worse it should be stopped. If you do that, it is best to discuss it with the doctor and with those around you and to do it gradually so as not to rock the boat too much. There have been many people here that gave good long trials to meds, they were depressed the whole time, and when they stopped they said they felt a lot better. Still depressed, but better than when on the drug.
Oviously that is not the way anyone wants the drugs to work, but it does happen. I am notorious for getting worse on 9 out 10 meds.
You better than anyone knows whether the med has made you worse or not. If you are to stop it, you could consider reducing the dose by a small amount while awaiting to see the doc
