Bad anticholinergic effects of TCAs...Aricept???

Posted by addinbc on December 24, 2007, at 3:45:55

Hi there;

Last year, I gave desipramine a brief trial (8 weeks at very low doses) for ADD/anxiety/depression (any or all of them). I stopped it because I am apparently very sensitive to anticholinergic effects, and experienced really bad cognitive side effects while taking it.

I would like to give it another (more extensive) trial, and was wondering if a low dose of Aricept (or something similar) might help to reduce these anticholinergic effects.

Thank you, thank you!!
