Risperdal works better at lowdoses??

Hi,
I'm taking depakote for bipolar and need something else for depression, agitation and hypomania... When I added risperdal 1.0 mg I felt good for the first few days then slowly became more and more depressed and anxious...

Then I increased the risperdal to 1.5 mg and felt even more depressed and anxious!

Just wondering if anyone has noticed that low doses are better than higher doses for risperdal?
