Hi brooke,
Everyone is different, but I took clonazepam with Nardil for years with no ill effects. In fact, I believe for social anxiety, the two meds are really the Gold standard. They both affect GABA and for me the synergism of the two was very good for anxiety.I can't think of a reason you reacted the way you did, especially since you have taken clonazepam in the past. Your plan is sound, tough it out until Monday and ask your Doc. Maybe you need a dosage adjustment on the Nardil. The generally accepted effective dose is 1mg/kg of body weight (divide your weight in pounds by 2.2). Good luck with the Nardil. It saved my life more than once.
Take care,
Jedi> My doctor is on vacation until Mon and I will give him a call then. The ativan has been working ok, but lately I've been having worse anxiety so I wanted to try klonopin again. I don't really understand what's happening because the last 2 weeks my anxiety has increased, a lot. I just had my thyroid tested so we'll see if that's the reason. I've been on Nardil 5 weeks but it never increased my anxiety so I have no idea what's going on.
