Guanfacine is not listed in the Health Canada database. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/prodpharma/databasdon/index_e.html
It is legal to import prescription medication into Canada, though, provided you have a doctor's prescription. In general, provided that the drug you seek to import is not scheduled (e.g. narcotics, hallucinogens and such), you may import a 90 day supply, and repeat such actions every 90 days. http://hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/compli-conform/info-prod/drugs-drogues/pol_0019_drugs-drogues_import-human_use_nhp-usage_humain_psn_e.html#52
Short URL: http://tinyurl.com/2wr6jk (in case that huge government link got mangled). See Section 5.2, for Personal Use Importation. It is wise to have the drugs accompanied by a copy of the prescription, whether delivered by mail, courier, or in person. Intercepted shipments not accompanied by the appropriate documentation are subject to the discretion of the authorities.
On a more personal note, I've done it, and never had a problem.
