Hi,

Just skimming through the thread and saw your post.
In my experience the lithium side effects, such
as heaviness of limbs, sedation, and lethargy *do* go away in time, but in my case thyroxine was added. Also, I never took lithium with divalproex. What remains in side effects after many years, for me, is some lethargy, thirst and
frequent voiding, but on a very regular basis, all other things like perspiration, salt intake, coffee and diet being equal. I find the agitation odd-- i don't know where that is coming from for you, unlikely that is the lithium unless the dose is low or the divalproex has other effects.
