I know that dysthymia in middle-aged men has been linked with low Testosterone, but in younger males, haven't found anything with this relationship.
Too bad there isn't as much info on dysthymia as there's on depression. Of course some will argue they're pretty much the same though one is less severe but chronic.
For those of ladies who replied, are you on any meds now ? Have you found any to help with the sex drive ?
I'm really puzzled about something : normally, when one has a low sex drive, dopamine is pointed finger at. Serotonin one constantly read has a libido killing effect, while DA revs it up.
However my sex drive got up on tryptophan, valerian, grade seed extract, fish oil and zinc--all used separetely. I guess used all at once it could help even more.
Libido is very complex, and involves immune cytokines, neurotransmitters and hormones.
I usually havea terrible time with concentration/focus. So reading is not fun to me, but i have to read should I want to find out something that's going to help my life improve.
