If you forget the later doses, Emsam might be a better method of absorption than oral doses.
You put the patch on and leave it on for 24 hours, and dont' have to remember later meds.
30 mg Parnate isn't really a very strong dose. Typical therapeutic range is 30-60 mg, but many people don't respond adequately to 30 mg, and often it can be given at higher doses than 60 mg (depending on pdoc).
So I would either go up on Parnate, or switch. Emsam affects those neurotransmitters. I don't think anyone knows exactly which ones are affected comparatively, but all Maois affect all Neurotransmitters that are broken down by Mao (an enzyme). It's different for different people in effectiveness, but I've found Emsam much more effective in both AD and energy, and sociability than Parnate ever was.
But if you would have trouble remember your later doses with Parnate, it might be a partial solution. But I wouldn't be satisfied with the response you're getting. What does you pdoc say?
Good luck with whichever you try.
