Ok so i visit my Doc who i plan to leave, since im only seeing her because my doc of 6 years moved, since seeing this new one weve bumped heads a LOT,and i am in the process of seeking a maoi prescbining new doc.
Anyway i go to todays visit expecting the same ole atitude from her,BUT to my surprise she was actualy in a willing mood, and actualy discussed options, which is all i ever wanted, was to know we will keep trying.
After proposing some mood stablizers to add to nuerontion,i.e keppra,etc......she tells me in a whisper like,"they are all anti convulsants and basicaly the same"
The mood was even light enough that even though i KNEW FOR A FACT she would not,i just at least toyed the mention of that one opoid buperine or something, she explained she doesent use it and we moved on.
To make a long story short, she came up with an idea that i actualy thought of myself, but know its not allowed, what it is is this......Since im on such a high dose of parnate, and find it harder to work due to simple tolerance, and the fact i refuse to go back to ssris period.....she mentioned the idea of using emsam in very low doses with parnate, the idea i at least have with this is it might first POTENTIATE parnate a little, second might get in more and provide more of a effect and since its somewhat similiar to parnate i might be able to lower the parnate.
She said shed look into this, however i know going by the book shell come back saying it cant be done.I also liked the idea cause i have combined liquid deprenyl and had a response to it both combined with parnate, and alone,so the emsam low dose idea isnt shocking to me.I suspect its not allowed, but anyone know if its mentioned anywhere as a direct interaction??
Also any ideas on the above?
