Unless i am mistaken about the neurophysiology
of bipolar disorder, i would say that there are
2 variables which i left out of the equation.
This led me to believe that it was the nature of clonazepam itself, which precipitating seizures and or stroke, was unique among benzos. The two variables in contrast to my friend's situation which i think are significant are:TIME - duration of taking was 10 yrs for me, and ony about 1 year for my friend;
FREQUENCY of DOSE - I was taking K every day for those 10 yrs. or so.
It can be frustrating when you don't know what is going to happen with medication treatment. Certainly, there are camps which encourage and profligate ill-considered conclusions. But when ignorance and lack of proof is all around, anything follows.
