Clonazepam is rather unique among the benzos, as it has anticonvulsive properties apart from the GABA regulatory effects. Temporal lobe hyper-excitability could be the issue, and that has been said to be well controlled by Lamictal (lamotrigine). Rather than trying to fix clonazepam, maybe a switch?
