> For me it has been amazing, considering it's not in the books as an anti-anxiolitic. I have been coming down from a very high dose of Klonopin (14mg), and I'm now at 8mg and my anxiety level is only SLIGHTLY higher, maybe even still because of the rebound from the W/D of Klonopin. If you asked me to predict what I'd be like at 8mg when I was on 14mg, I would have told you I'd be a wreck.
> Anybody else have this effect with Lithium?Actually, lithium had the opposite effect on me -- at first, it produced a relatively mild sense of nervousness when I was taking it with 400 mg/day of Wellbutrin SR (and getting a partial antidepressant response from the combo). But then about a month after I discontinued the Wellbutrin, the mild nervousness slowly progressed until it became severe akathisia, and the akathisia did not go away after I stopped taking the lithium (and neither did any of the other extrapyramidal side effects that I was experiencing). I'm guessing that either I was very sensitive to lithium to begin with (and that the Wellbutrin basically covered this up while I was taking the two meds together) or that I might have done something at one point to cause my blood-lithium concentration to reach a toxic level. My guesses could be wrong, though.
It's good to hear that you're benefiting from lithium, though, even though I didn't. As you know, it's important to be very careful with it, to keep yourself well hydrated, and to get your blood levels checked regularly.
