And did you realize that Pfizer bought out Upjohn, the original manufacturer of Xanax? Interesting. Perhaps alpraz. *should* be a prn med. but I find that I go about 8-10 hours between doses usually, so it works quite well for me personally and also has a bit of an antidepressant effect. Dr. Salzman from Harvard wanted me to stay on it when I consulted him at my pdoc's request. I do wish to lower the dosage to 1mg. if possible though. I have taken it for 20+ years! Highest was 3mg now 1.75mg. daily.
