Hi, I have taken both. Zoloft worked well for me for several years, but kind of pooped out. I did steadily gain weight over the five years I was no it. I weaned off it to see how I was drug-free. (Very anxious and depressed--suprise, surprise, but I did lose some weight.) I went back on it, but it never regained its old effect on my brain, just on my abilty to pack on pounds. So, I tried Lexapro, which has worked really well, except it has almost completely taken away my ability to have an orgasm. Argh. On the plus side, it doesn't seem to be quite as bad as Zoloft when it comes to packing on the weight. I've been on Lex for about 4.5 months now.

Good luck with whichever you choose.
