We seriously need to form a club--germophobes unite! or owies-are-us.
Today, I've contracted Lyme Disease; Effexor has variously destroyed my liver, my brain, my heart functioning; I have a rare connective tissue disorder that effects my entire body; COPD or lung cancer (depending on the mood); I will be developing cataracts shortly as a guaranteed side effect of one of my asthma inhalers; I have TD and ateriosclerosis; definitely a brain tumor; and I have fingertip cancer.
Actually, the last one is what my husband says because I notice my fingertips are wrinkly all the time and not "fully puffed up" (in my opinion) like "normal" people's are. Yes, well, normal people also don't look exactly like me either. And I have a freckle on my tush that I has probably never seen the sun (at least to my knowing). Never in the diatribe of symptoms (that I even generate! I don't even think that I really have these problems but that I actually create them!), do I think, "I have hypochondria and I need to do something about it." No, the symptoms are very, very real, and must not be questioned!
It does make it a little bit tricky when you do get sick, though. I always wonder, Will I know? Or will I just think that I'm thinking myself sick again????
