Technicaly a washout is required from maoi to maoi. Now maoi to ssri, vice versa is totaly in my opinion neccassary, were talking serious interaction here.As far as a wash out between 2 maois,me,my opinion,my own non medical opinion is close to none is needed.
To give u an example,i planned on going to nardil, and started ,and three times over i jumped ship and went back cause the Nardil wasnt seeming to be strong enough to hold me down,so you figure for a good two weeks i was on both parnate and nardil, obviously no washout,in fact there were a "few" times where they worked well togther. Now im not gonna tell u go ahead its safe to switch cause thats a serious decision u have to make, all i can do is say i never saw why the washout was needed, and i in exper dident feeel any problems what so ever, not a single one.
As far as stopping parnate cold, while u wait to see ur next move, cant help u there as i feel im proubalby addicted to this drug and if i stopped parnate by day three im suffereing some horrable withdrawals,i suffered them in the midst of the nardil switch which is why i could never take nardil alone with out going back to parnate.
It does give me pleasure knowing i took what i believe is a inferior form of nardil, from long reading i feel i would have been able to hack it had i the OLD nardil, prob would have great for me,but the new formulation seems to be a real problem.
