I don't think bipolar disorder disqualifies you from taking a stimulant. Your doc will certainly be hesitant because stimulant meds may worsen (and perhaps trigger) a manic episide. Talk to your doc about a low dose trial to see if you benefit. Your condition may be monitored more closely.
