I just can't seem to tolerate stimulants, but they're the only thing that works for my ADHD.I took Toprol XR for six months, at 50mng, 75mg and 100mg to address high blood pressure caused by Adderall/dexedrine. I increased the Toprol as I increased the stimulants. I'm now on a different stimulant (Focalin) that doesn't cause the same hypertensive symptoms. It is worth trying Focalin which is a medication that exists purely to help people who want to avoid Ritalin side-effects. I had chest pain few times whilst on Adderall but assumed it was the result of the boxing gym. It didn't occur to me that my medication could cause that. I would recommend monitoring your BP on a daily basis if you plan to use a beta blocker.
Have you tried Provigil, fish oil or ADHD coaching?
