I was sorry to find that monophasic b/c pills, as well as the mirena IUD were disastrous for my mood.
After almost a year with the hormones I "regressed" with the hubby to condoms!
I had the same line of thinking as you...keeping levels steady troughout the month - but no dice here. My doc was also trying to control the terrible cramping I now have AGAIN!!!
FWIW, I just started seeing an endocrinoligist to see if he could shed any light on all of this depression/anxiety/rage stuff... Als, so many levels to him seem "perfectly normal". I often contemplate hysterectomy...sigh....
