For me, Xanax is the best. Virtually no sedation. No cognitive effects. It just killed the anxiety pure and simple. (And by doing so left me with a little more energy and focus.) Unfortunately, I opted out of it in favor of Klonopin because I was concerned about the higher potential for dependence. Now I have a pdoc who's more grudging about benzo use, and so I doubt he'd let me switch.

> im guessing it might be xanax? what is it like? i also need social anxiety relief properties. i am taking lorazepam (ativan) at 0.5-1mg twice a day. but i also have 0.5 mg pill of clonazepam. how do those two compare with xanax. any one particulary better for social anxiety. are there any other benzos i should know about?
