> hi. i was wondering if anyone else gets this from desipramine, and if it causes any adverse effects on ones health. a main concern is how i look like crap all the time and i have seemed to have aged much more significantly over the past year or so... it really sounds shallow, but i find it really depressing. people used to compliment me on my appearance maybe a year or two ago, but recently i think i can see why they really don't anymore, and i don't have any talents or virtues to make up for it. ugh. sorry for the self-pity.

I didn't have any adverse effects from desipramine. The changes in your appearance might be from the way you just happen to be aging, or maybe the effects of the underlying depression. Everyone gets older--something I'm dealing with too.

Most people don't have any "talents or virtues" either. Would you be friends with someone who was a superb musician, if s/he was an *sshole otherwise?
