Right now, it is not very potent at all. I have been taking 900mg for 11 days. When I first raised the dosage up from 600mg, the antidepressant effect was significant and developed within 36 hours. I had about 5 days when I was convinced that I was on my way towards remission. Unfortunately, the improvement plateaued and I have since lost ground. There is still a residual improvement, though, and I am hoping that further dosage increases will establish a more robust and stable response. I don't know how high my doctor will let me go, but I told him that I wanted to push the dosage. I look foward to going up to 1200mg. Right now, I am experiencing no side effects.

All I can say is that Trileptal has produced a true antidepressant effect in conjunction with the other medications I am taking. The trick is getting it to stick.
