i LOVE wellbutrin. i've been on 2-3 years? i gave up count. i have to take the immediate release because if i take more than 75mg at a time my body temperature drops below 96 (i get really really cold) and it took us a while for my pdoc and me to figure that out. so i take 75mg tabs, but i take them 5 times a day, so that's a total of 375mg/day.

it was hard to get on for the first 4-6 weeks. lots of anger. i used ativan at the time to mellow that. then i got off the ativan and didn't need it.

it's really important to give up caffeine. if you take the SR or XL, good to take before 2pm so you can sleep. with the immediate release, i can take a dose at bedtime and not have my sleep effected at all... probably because it's only 75mg.

but i love it because i am not depressed on it and i can still feel. i have no emotional numbing. that was really important to me. i just took xanax as needed when the emotions of therapy were too much.

i just added lexapro and klonopin to help me get through some major life changes. i'm happy so far with both. but i really don't even mind if i am on the wellbutrin for the rest of my life. i feel normal on it, and normal is very good.
