Wellbutrin is a tricky med for me. I am using it to augment Cymbalta, which was working great for my depression AND anxiety, but which was also causing me some problems with amotivation and increased appetite. First I tried (for a couple weeks) 75mg of the plain, old generic Bupropion in the a.m. No help. Then I tried 150mg of Wellbutrin XL (mornings, also for two weeks). That did help, but it also interfered with my sleep at night in a major way. Finally, I switched to the SR version, 200mg in the a.m. That seems to be working best. However, it still messes with my sleep a little bit. I am BP2 and I find that Wellbutrin agitates me a bit, and quite a lot of I take too much. (I have more foot-tapping, and counting, and getting songs stuck in my head... that kind of crap, but it's manageable for the time being, and without it I'm sure I'd be sitting around watching daytime TV -- which I never do -- and eating lots of carbs.)

FWIW: My mood stabilizer is Trileptal. I would never (personally, as a bipolar type) take Wellbutrin without an MS.
