In my opinion, a person who is hypersensitive and most of the time misunderstood could very well get depressed and/or anxious. This is a person who is in pain and lonely. I doubt that feeling sensitive sometimes or occasionally being misunderstood would cause that, but I guess if the stars were all lined up just right (brain chemistry, family history, current circumstances), even that's not outside of the realm of possibility.
