Hypomania allowed my ex father-in-law to become a millionaire without a high school eductation. He kept acquiring real estate property in Fairfield County Ct, a car dealership, two lucritive pieces of business property on USI. Then he went full blown manic in his 50's. He is now in his 80's and in a very fancy assisted living center in Fla. He made a lot of lives miserable when he refused to take his meds while he went from depression to mania and even successfully broke up my marriage and his other sons. I think you need to find out what it is that you have and take the required meds all your life. Thankfully they now have meds that don't cause the side-effects that caused him to go off them every spring. Just a story. Fondly, Phillipa
