Topomax causes dizziness for me and nausia especially when I am increasing in dose. It is best to increase your dose in increments of 25mg every 2 weeks. I found out the hard way that Topomax is a very powerful drug and it must be respected. Going up too fast can cause some unwanted side effects, along with the dizzines and nausia, I've experienced mood swings (crying spells), forgetfulness, speech/word finding problems, tremors. I realized that going up in dose slowly reduces these side affects. merry
