I know valium is a faster acting barbituate than the other ones you mention but they are all barbituates. Valium also appears longer lasting than the ones you mention. Maybe its a personal reaction thing. Anyway I'm feeling a lot better today. I do need bennys for a couple of days every month or so.

Also you need to take several doses daily because it is rapidly flushed out of your body. Use klonopin or ativan instead, it has a more therapeutic effect. This is based on my own experience. I don't know about the load on kidneys and the liver. Ask your doctor.
