Hi Sandy,
I don't often have panic attacks but I'm always uncomfortable in public. I live a very isolated life.
I find it easier to not drink while taking inderal LA and when I do drink, I can't drink as much. Inderal and alcohol don't really mix well for me since it makes me too sedated. Nothing dangerous, just makes drinking boring.
I have prudently put aside my cymbalta, having read it shouldn't be mixed with alcohol. When I felt the "binge" coming on about a week ago, I stopped taking cymbalta. I had been taking only 20mgs per day and thinking about every other day when I resume. A little goes a long way for me.
I hope I haven't stressed my liver with the near collision of cymbalta and alcohol. Heavy drinking and chirrosis runs in the family although unlike them I don't smoke. I also quit drinking for months or years at a time whereas they rarely quit for long.
I'm doing a little "remedial" drinking today but must quit soon (tomorrow) because I see the doc next Friday. The alcohol has jacked my blood pressure up (not dangerous) but I'm afraid the doc will want to bump me up to 80mgs Inderal LA if it remains high.
I'm hoping that in time - if I lose about 30lbs - I won't need inderal at all. My blood pressure is a reflection of how overweight I am and it has always been normal when my weight was normal.
