> You can have PTSD at any age. It will last as long as it wants. I've had mine since I was 19, now I'm 28. There are different deffinitions too. For example in the USA, PTSD is defined as witnessing a death. In other countries(most), PTSD can be any tramatic experience, like rape for example. How ever long you experience stress related to the experience, beyond the reasonably expected simptoms of plain stress, is PTSD. Basicly any lingering stress is the disorder.

> SebastianHi Sebastian...thanks for the information. I always get confused when I try to explain what I went through as a child. I have a really sick uncle who used to torment me by his stares...he would ask me to marry him when I grew up (this stuff went on for years...started when i was around 9-10) I would get physically sick whenever he was around, especially holidays. He would come up and kiss me....he made me sit on his lap with his hand under my butt...stare at me while I was laying down. It's just that it has haunted me to this day, and I think it may have contributed to my horrible migraines at such a young age. They started around that time. And I have them to this day...I just wonder what your past traumas have on your mental health as one gets older, if not taken care of properly. thanks...kari
