Do remember the warnings you saw here if you try to stop taking it.. and have your cholesterol, triglycerides, and liver enzymes checked at least every 4 months. If any of these are elavated you need to have a sonogram of your liver to check for liver disease. Effexor can cause Liver disease and it is not curable and will kill you. Liver disease is not reversible. Mine was found too late and now I'm dying. I just want everyone to be aware and to be careful of this drug. I took it for 7 yrs. I believe there are other drugs out there that are much safer. I agree that it can seem to be a wonderful drug and not too long ago no one could have convinced me otherwise. My depression was gone, my thinking clear, life was easier to manage, and overall I felt invincible while all the time it was slowing killing me. Please keep an open mind to the information you read in these posts and heed the warnings. This is not a drug to take lightly.
Good Luck,
Sammi
