Hi Justin,
Went to work today and it was tough but I didn't use a beta blocker.
I can't believe how strong the effect of even 2mg of Lexapro is for me. All day at work I felt as though I was going to have a panic attack and this was worsened by social interaction however I didn't actually have one. The feeling of an impedending on is pretty wearing though.
I had feelings of:
* dizziness like the room was moving in the opposite direction to my movement
* nausea
* sweating
* shakiness and spaciness
* kept tripping on things...not good on a hospital ward!
* Couldn't remember which locker was mine ...had it narrowed down to two (very scary)Also had a mental block on what my user name was at the work computer...extra scary.
I feel like I need an increase in serotonin for the depression - but only slightly and a decrease for the anxiety/panic/SA.Perhaps NA or dopamine is required. Efexor wouldn't be of much use because I think the dosage required would be too high to get the NA effect and Duloxetine isn't available here yet.
I just feel like I have part of the puzzle but there is some overriding control missingCan you replace 'natural' substances like Tryptophan and Tyrosine for prescription drugs like SSRIs and NARIs...especially if a little bit of prescription drug goes a long way? Are there any articles or texts that can give you a rough idea of the equivalent dosages?
Have any panic/phobes played around with micro doses? Or small combinations?
