Seamus,
Thank you so much for your response. It is a great help. Unfortunately for me, being schizoaffective, I take more antipsychotics than you do. I currently take 9 mg risperdal, 4mg navane and 1200 mg lithium. And my pdoc may put me on a small amount of abilify to help with side effects. But what you say makes me feel hopeful. I really thought I would have to give up tennis. One time, though, I got overheated and started to feel cold, so I had to sit down. Perhaps I wasn't hydrated enough from the lithium. You and I have two things to think about: the lithium and the anti psychotics. Both I think need to be well hydrated. Do you have any idea of temperature range that could be dangerous? I live in Monterey CA which occassionally gets very hot, but for the most part is not humid. Where do you live? Finally I agree with you about the dearth of information. Also I agree that mental ilness and vigorous exercisers do not go hand in hand. In fact, I have found it be quite rare. Listen Seamus, if you can think of any helpful information, I would really appreciate it. Tennis is absolutely in my blood. I wasa tennis pro for 15 years and used to "live" by the ball. Also what is hyponatremia and hypokalemia? Mmerrynick
