A low dosage might be OK.

I experienced what I believe were the beginnings of serotonin syndrome when I added nortriptyline 50mg with Nardil 75mg. The symptoms were severe hypotension and an altered status type mild delirium. Amitriptyline is more serotonergic than is nortriptyline, so I would proceed with caution. Perhaps you will not be as sensitive to such a combination as I was. You might want to target 25mg initially.
