Paradoxical tension from neurontin

Posted by jaby on September 14, 2004, at 9:51:04

I have taken neurotin for about 3 years now 2400-3600 mg/day. It has helped tremedously with ruminating thoughts and even as an AD. I have been putting up with a pretty bad side effect however, and am at wits end. I get horrible back tension. I wake up with it in the morning and deal with it throughout the day. When I pull my chin to my chest I get a tremendous burning sensation which provides relief when it goes away, but is tough to tolerate in itself. Anyone had a similar experience? This seems to be a paradoxical reaction since neurontin is used for neuropathic pain.
