Hello, me again..
I feel like I am always on here asking the same things over and over. (sorry if i am) But I am wondering if anyone can explain to me in "plain english" what the dif. is between ssri and snri. I know the basic's, that is, that ssri (seratonin reuptake inhibitor) and snri (seratonin/norepinephine reuptake inhibitor)but what does it really mean?? I tried effexor with no result, but i have also tried many ssri's with no result or bad results. What I am trying to figure out is why do pdocs have such a hard time figuring out what we need? If, like my pdoc says, I have panic disorder, why is there like 50 drug combo's I can try. It's getting very frustrating. It seems I can be on certain meds, that will stop my depression, but worsen my anxiety/social phobia. Or, like paxil, I dont care what people think at all and am completly a monster! Or, like zoloft, (dont even remember that time period) foggy!!!! So, anyway, I am wondering about cymbalta, I am taking prozac now, and its working for depression, but thats all. But, I am afraid to change, because i didnt have any reaction to effexor which is also an snri drug...
I am so confused!! (as usual)
Sandy
