what sort of schitzophrenic symptoms do people hav

I hear of a few people on this board saying they are taking an antipsychotic for true schitzophrenic symptoms. This may be a personal question that nobody wants to answer, but I was wondering what sorts of things were you experiencing? Does the medication help? In what way does it help? I have been experiencing some things, possibly not severe enought for medication but would like to know if it is similar to what others are experiencing.
