I take Lamictal and didn't find that it addressed my anxiety (I wasn't trying it for anxiety though but rather bipolar II). I think that anxiety and OCD are probably closely related but personally didn't find Lamictal that relaxing - my energy level didn't change and I was still anxious. When I took Depakote it was a bit sedating, but I did like that feeling of calmness. But I refuse to take Depakote due to the weight gain issues.
