tricyclic and benzodiazepine interaction

Posted by Squiggles on July 17, 2004, at 8:32:28

Hello again,

Has anyone experienced the following results
from mixing clonazepam with imipramine?

- rapid weight loss
- lassitude, apathy, lack of libido, anorexia
- fatigue
- feeling and being cold even in very hot weather
- diarrhea
- and last but not least, blessed ability to sleep
which was the reason for adding clonazepam to anxiety provoking imipramine;

If these symptoms are normal, then it's worth
the combo. But I am a bit worried if these
are symptoms of something more serious - hopefully
a CBT will tell.

Also, is clonazepam combined with imipramine, more likely to induce these symptoms, than say another benzo?

Thanks for reading, and looking forward to
any feedback from your experiences.
