> Hi all. I currently take 150mg of effexor xr. I started taking wellbutrin sr 100mg in addition to the effexor 10 days ago. Today I seem to have some small patches of skin irritation (slightly bumby, itchy skin) on my leg and arm. I guess you would call it a rash. I know from what I have read many of you will say to stop taking and call doctor. I am upset because this stuff is starting to work. I have had more energy and my appetite has been less than normal. My question is... why do I have to stop taking? Will some minor skin irritation kill me? I have lived with far worse side affects from medicines. Any info anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks!
hello, chemist here...could be a so-called ``id reaction'' and i suggest a visit to a dermatologist - reluctantly, but you have to do what you have to do - and request a patch test in addition to a punch biopsy in the problem area. this should indicate if you are allergic to one of the drugs....all the best, chemist
