>Hi Janelle,
Here is some opinions on Periactin from older posts here at Dr.Bobs: http://www.google.com/search?q=+site:www.dr-bob.org+Periactin+anorgasmia&num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&newwindow=1&filter=0
Periactin probably works by being antiserotonin, it's anithistamine effect actually has little to do with temporarily fixing SSRI induced anorgasmia. I haven't tried it myself, but it looks like it does work & it certainly looks harmless enough.
I take Remeron primarily for sleep, but it also fixes my anorgasmia problem caused by Effexor. Remeron is the most potent antihistamine type drug on the market. It also antagonises the serotonin receptors 2A, 2C & 3. My guess is it's 2A & 2C that relieve anorgasmia.
Cheers,
Panda.
