Modafinil (Provigil) - important update

Posted by Bill LL on March 15, 2004, at 12:50:11

I posted several times in the past month that studies showed that Provigil may not work in combination with Celexa (or Lexapro).

I sent an e-mail to one of the investigators (at Stanford) to ask about this. He replied today saying that they think that the reason for this test result may be that people taking Celexa during the study were on Celexa for a shorter period of time than users of other SSRI's.

Therefore, it should not be concluded at the present time that Provigil will be ineffective in Celexa and Lexapro users.
