Drug temperatures

Posted by AMD on February 24, 2004, at 14:53:00

Folks,

I'm curious, any risk at storing medications, particularly in my case lamotrigine and citalopram, at below room temperature. These are tablet form, and I tend to leave them in my car overnight to take on the way to work in the morning and the temperature theredrops to 30-40 degrees F overnight. Wondering if this is something to worry about, or whether this mainly applies to liquids. I mean, if you stick tablets in the freezer, for example, would it modify their chemical structure?
