Celexa is really good for PMS, but makes me tired. I had asked about taking Celexa just before my period and the Manerix the rest of the month. My Doctor said it would be fine, and then phoned me up in a frenzy saying Don't do it. When I took my prescriptions to the pharmacists, this was before my doctor had phoned me, the pharmacists said I could not take both of them, and that I needed a 2 week wash period before switching to one or the other.

I can't tolerate coffee, but I can tolerate espresso. One shot of espresso has less caffeine than one cup of coffee. What ever the difference is, it works.

> Thanks.I am happy to hear celexa is working for you. Except for the tiredness it give you.I took it at bedtime. I found the increase in serotonin helped me sleep, especially when I took imovane (zopiclone)with it. I have not added celexa to my manerix yet. I am waiting for my pdoc to get back from his month long holiday. He told me a doctor in Ottawa Canada has been using this combo with success.Apparently many drugs that were thought not to be combine with this RMAI can be, because it does not work the same as other MAOI's. I do hope it works because It has been years since I have had any significant long term relief from my anxiety and depression. Interestingly, about nine month ago blood work I had done showed that my testosterone level was extremely low. They started me on t-therapy with Angrogel. It seemed to help with my mood some, but after a few month I had to quite using it because I delvelope peripheral adema. Now they have me on Andriol which again seem to help a little with my mood especially since I had an increase in dose just a week ago.
Take care....Stann
PS, I made the switch from celexa to manerix with no wash out period. It was a very smooth transition.
