Hey dude,
I think I get where your coming from, man. I've got this friend who'se got the same problem, only he has to skateboard all the time, and swim, and work out with weights or he gets totally depressed and thinks he's totally worthless. He's on meds, too, and has a lot of trouble with girls because he's always losing his confidence.
I think you ought to find a good therapist. My friend sees this psychiatrist guy twice a week, and it really seems to help him a lot. You definitely need someone to help keep you going when your self-esteem takes a dive. Maybe a doctor would have some good med ideas.
I like to lift too, man, but 3-4 hours a day is going to mess you up pretty soon. I'm not saying quit--but maybe mix in some swimming or running, too. My friend totally tanks if he gets injured, so he's pretty careful to spread stuff out.
