i don't know if this helps....but...when i took effexor regular i couldn't tolerate it (it was awful!!), but the SR was completely different. i did not have the same problem.
i would assume they work the same way, i am sure there is a difference. but i guess it is hard to say for sure. (has there always been a regular wellbutrin? i have never heard of it)
